Gerri Barraco's court reporting career began after earning a BA degree in Linguistics from Florida Atlantic University and a Court Reporting Certificate in Washington, DC. She remained in Washington for several years covering hearings for the House and Senate and later moved to New York City, reporting depositions, arbitrations and stockholder meetings for Commerce Reporting, where she met David Sperling. After visiting Asheville, the quality of mountain life easily convinced her to move here, and she joined David in that endeavor. She is now a realtime reporter at Sperling & Barraco and assists in the management of the firm. |
